Preface

Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to organize the 9^th Industrial Electronic Seminar (IES 2007). The IES is a regional scientific and technological conference on electro-technical and information system and technology that annually organized by the EEPIS (Electronics Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya) – ITS since 1999. This conference is a major annual event that aiming to stimulate research, development, and applications of the electro-technical and information technologies in the real world. On top of this, the advance of nationwide cooperation is also the aim of this seminar.

In the 9^th Industrial Electronic Seminar (IES 2007), we had received more than 61 papers from several institution including universities, research centre, and companies. Some of them are one from Japan (as a keynote speaker), two from Malaysia and another one from Sri Lanka. From the strictly reviewing processes, the Technical Program Committee has selected and accepted 58 papers that met with the theme of the IES 2007. These papers will be presented in six parallel sessions, i.e. Power Electronics & Systems, Signal & Image Processing & Its Applications (two parallel sessions), Information Systems & Network (two parallel sessions), and Applied/Industrial Electronics & Robotics (two parallel sessions).

Last but not least, we would like to express out gratitude to the contributors, technical program committee members, organizing committee members and sponsors, without whom the seminar would have been possible. We also hope that you enjoy the IES 2007 and will take the benefit from the IES 2007 and the proceedings.
