Assalamu 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokatuh

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Industrial Electronics Seminar 2004 (IES-2004) it is a great pleasure for me to well come all of you to visit our campus Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (EEPIS-ITS) and attend this conference. More than 100 selected papers will be presented at the conference. I am sure you will find this conference to an excellent forum for innovative and technical discussion, that will provide us with interesting technical program and enjoyable activities.

The IES-2004 include one plenary session and several theme based parallels technical sessions that is expected be papers conform very well during the sessions. Participants from Indonesia and our neighborhoods countries will find the conference a perfect venue.

The conference would have not been possible without the contributions and hard works of the keynote and invited speakers, all the authors and reviewers, chair persons, the advisory committee, as well as the Technical Program Committee and Organizing Committee. May I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to all of them.

I hope that all of you would find this conference interesting, stimulating beneficial and enjoyable. Although the conference program will take only one day, I wish you could spend some times to enjoy the city of Surabaya, the second biggest city in Indonesia.
