Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch using Genetic Algorithms |
| Abstrak |
: |
Good power quality is important in power system to distribute power from generator to consumer. Power quality can be improved by optimal reactive power dispatch. The goal of optimal reactive power dispatch is to minimize power losses and to improve the voltage profile by setting generator bus voltages, transformer taps, and VAr compensator. This research creates to determine the location and size of VAr compensator using Genetic Algorithms approaches, that optimal reactive power dispatch and power optimally used by consume are achieved. The final results show the improvement of bus voltage performance and the reduction of power losses.
